?The department is functioning as a separate Post-graduate department  for MD (Hom) course in the subject Paediatrics as per the regulations of NCH, New Delhi since 2009. The intake capacity for MD (Hom) in the subject is Four (04) per session. 

The department is well equipped as per regulations of NCH, New Delhi. The PGTs and Faculty of the department are participating in the Health checkup camps, Arogya Mela, Seminars, workshops assigned to them as and when required. Journal Club presentations, Clinical case discussion, weekly departmental Seminar and monthly general seminars are conducted by the department of Paediatrics on regular basis. 

There is one dedicated Paediatric O.P.D. attached to the Hospital with an average 190 patient’s consultation per day. Six Beds are available in the I.P.D. where Patients are admitted from the O.P.D. of Paediatric department.

Dr Shishir Kumar singh, Associate Professor, Dept. of Physiology is looking after the department as In-Charge (Additional charge) of the department and coordinating the hospital and academic activities of the department.

The department is located at new Academic Block on the 1st Floor. There are separate Lecture Hall, Departmental Library, Rooms for Head / In-charge and Teaching Faculty as well as PGT's. Internet and Audio-visual facilities are available in the departmental rooms and Lecture Hall.
