Welcome to the National Institute of Homoeopathy


The National Institute of Homoeopathy, established on 10th December 1975 in Kolkata, is a Central Government autonomous institution of national importance, functioning under the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India. The aim of the Institute is to promote excellence in Homoeopathic medical education, patient care, and research, while providing high-quality training to undergraduate, postgraduate, and research scholars in accordance with the highest professional standards.

The National Institute of Homoeopathy, Kolkata, offers a 5½-year BHMS degree course and 3-year M.D. (Homoeopathy) programmes in accordance with the regulations of the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) and is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kolkata. The National Institute of Homoeopathy, Kolkata, operates a Homoeopathy hospital with both Outpatient (OPD) and Inpatient (IPD) departments, providing high-quality healthcare services.

The Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, inaugurated the satellite campus of the National Institute of Homoeopathy at Narela, Delhi, on 11th December 2022. This Institute imparts postgraduate education in Homoeopathy and provides affordable patient care services. NIH, Delhi, offers 3-year M.D. (Homoeopathy) programmes in accordance with the regulations of the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) and is affiliated with the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Delhi. The National Institute of Homoeopathy, Delhi, also operates a Homoeopathy hospital with both Outpatient (OPD) and Inpatient (IPD) departments, providing high-quality healthcare services.

The National Institute of Homoeopathy embodies the national vision of strengthening healthcare infrastructure and fostering the development of a competent pool of human resources in the field of Homoeopathy.
